When I took over Artifax seven years ago the first thing I did was look for a bookkeeping service.
I wanted to concentrate on establishing and growing the business and definitely did not want to be concerned with routine accounts and bookkeeping.
Of course I needed a certified accountant to sign off the accounts annually, I found one and he highly recommended Johnson’s Bookkeeping Services.
Sharon, the owner, has been a constant source of help, support, advice and guidance. In terms of bookkeeping and payroll I don’t worry about a thing. She, ensures that the sales control balances, makes payments to my supplier, the only thing I have to do is sign the cheques! Files my VAT and PAYE online. Reconciles my bank account and ensures that the relevant schedules go to my accountant on an annual basis.
Last year we had a VAT inspection, the inspecting officer scheduled the whole day. He arrived at 9.00a.m., and left at noon saying he had no need to do any further investigation, everything was in perfect order.
I have recommended her service to other independent retailers like myself and they too have been thoroughly impressed.
